PU paper leak: ‘Guruji’ gives tough time to investigating officers

Bengaluru: The alleged kingpin in the Second PU chemistry question paper leak case has become a hard nut to crack as he has been behaving like a madman during questioning.

According to sources, the accused pretends to be meditating with his eyes open when questioned by the CID sleuths. The sources said that he has been behaving eccentrically, he cries without reason and yells at CID officials.

So far 14 people have been arrested by the CID in connection to the case.

The CID officials arrested Shivakumaraiah after a tip-off from one of his girlfriends. His location was traced after the CID officials tracked his girlfriend.

A special Karnataka Control of Organized Crime Act (KCOCA) Court had remanded Swamy to 10-day CID custody.

It may be recalled that the Chemistry examination was first cancelled on March 21 by the Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) after the question paper got leaked. Though the re-examination was scheduled for March 31, the question papers were leaked again, forcing the DPUE officials to cancel it (re-exam) and postponed it to April 12.
