Bengaluru: The PU Chemistry exam which was scheduled to be held today has been postponed again due to question paper leak.
The examination which took place last week was rescheduled for today after the board came to know about the question paper leakage.
However, the question paper of the re-examination too has reportedly leaked, sparking widespread protests by the students and the parernts.
The police who came to know about the leakage in Bengaluru and Tumakuru, informed the director of PU board Pallavi Akurathi at 3:30 in the morning. It is said that hand written question papers were found in Bengaluru and Tumakuru.
The PU board has informed all the exam centres not to open the question papers. The PU board has again postponed the exam today and the new date is yet to be known.
The dejected students have said that they would not write the examination.
The disappointed students also held Primary and Secondary Education Kimmane Rathnakar responsible for the same.
Meanwhile, Rathnakar has held the PU board responsible for the leak and also said that action will be taken against those who are involved.
The opposition leaders are demanding removal of the minister after the paper leak incident.
Surprisingly, Congress MLA S T Somashekar has reportedly written to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi about the issue and has demanded removal of Kimmane from Cabinet adding that he has no control over his department and officials.
However, Kimmane Rathnakar has said that the CID is looking into the matter and re-examination dates would be announced by evening.
Protests are taking place all over Karnataka.
With this drama, the lives of 1.74 lac students has been engulfed in uncertainty.
