It may be recalled that the Chemistry examination was first cancelled on March 21 by the Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) after the question paper was found to have been leaked. Though the re-examination was scheduled for March 31, the question papers for that exam were also leaked, forcing the DPUE officials to cancel it (re-exam) and was postponed to April 12.
As many as 1.74 lakh students appeared for the Chemistry re-exam on Tuesday.
The state PU department had taken unmatched security measures for the exam to be conducted smoothly.
Since mobile applications were extensively used to sell the leaked papers o the last two occasions, the Cyber, city and CID police squads had kept an eye on the online activities of suspected students, colleges and agents.
Pre-university teachers who continued their boycott of evaluation till MOnday reported to examination duty.
