Bengaluru: The Karnataka Board of Pre-University Education has decided to introduce a 42-page booklet for the next PU Board exams in order to solve the issues relating to additional answer sheets.
Director of the Department of PU Education, M Kanaga Valli has said that the decision was taken after considering the average number of additional sheets used by students during the examinations.
“We will be introducing a 42-page booklet, taking into consideration the average number of additional sheets the students use. By implementing this system, students can avoid the issues related to the attaching of additional sheets to the answer booklet,” she said.
According to official sources, around 6.90 lakh students appeared in the previous PU board exams, out of which 1 lakh students asked for additional answer sheets.
During the revaluations, students had complained to the department that the additional sheets they attached to their answer booklets were missing.
