Bengaluru: Following the Chemistry question paper leak fiasco, the PU board on Saturday held a series of meetings and has decided to prepare three new sets of question papers instead of using those already set to ensure that there is no foul play in the re-exam which is scheduled to be held on April 12.

As 40 members of the examination section have been suspended following paper leak, the baord has decided to use the services of principals and senior lecturers of government PU collges for the examination work.

“The deputed staff will begin work from Monday. There will be tighter security this time. A few officials from other sections of the board will be kept away from the examination work,” sources said.

To ensure there is no foul play during the re-exam, Primary and Secondary Education Minister, Kimmane Rathnakar, has announced that he would personally supervise the process leading upto the re-examination.

When the board and the education minister were busy preparing for the re-exam schedule, students in Malleshwaram continued to protest on Saturday. They urged the government to cancel the re-exam.
