Bangalore: Serial killer and rapist Jai Shankar, who had escaped from the Bangalore central jail on Sunday has been captured by Bangalore police along with CCB police on Friday September 6th afternoon at Kodlu Gate, Bangalore,

Raghavendra Auradkar, Bangalore police Commissioner confirmed the arrest and the interrogation is on , the place is not disclosed.

“Only after the disccusions with the Home Minister , furter actions will be taken”, he said

It was a joint investigation between Bangalore and CCB police.Further information is awaited.

36-year-old Jaishankar, considered a psychopath, who was recently sentenced to 10 years imprisonment in a trespass, rape and murder case, hailed from Kanyapattanam Konasamudra village in Tamil Nadu’s Salem district.

The convict is facing trial in more than 20 cases in Chennai, Dharmpuri, Hosur, Salem, Tirupattur of Tamil Nadu and Bangalore Rural, Chitradurga, Hiriyur, Kadur, Molakalmur and Tumkur in Karnataka.
