Bengaluru: Holenarasipura JDS MLA HD Revanna who was arrested in a kidnap case was released from jail on Tuesday, he was granted a bail by a local court on Monday.
The police had made security arrangements in front of Prappana Agrahar Jail to prevent any untoward incident.
HD Revanna was arrested by Special Investigation Team on May 4, in connection with his alleged involvement in the kidnapping of a maid, who is victim in his son Prajwal Revanna’s sexual abuse case.
His son, Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna is facing serious allegation of abusing several women sexually, after videos of sexual abuse went viral, the MP fled the country.
A local court granted HD Revanna bail yesterday on a bond of Rs 5 lakh.
The Karnataka Police had filed a case against HD Revanna for the kidnapping of a woman, believed to be one of the survivors in the sex video scandal involving his son.
