Bangalore: Energy Minister D K Shivakumar informed the assembly house that all 40 villages which are deprived from power supply will be provided soon.

Answering to a query on Wednesday, he said all 40 villages fall under deep forest area; hence it was not possible to provide power supply all these years. But now initiatives have been taken to supply electricity to those villages.

He also informed the house that these are the only villages in whole of South India without power supply so far.
