Pothole claims life of bike rider, case filed against BBMP officials

Bengaluru: The Banasawadi Traffic Police has registered a case against BBMP Assistant Executive Engineer and the Road Contractor after a bike rider died in an accident caused by a pothole.

The deceased has been identified as Azim Ahmed (21). On Saturday November 27, he fell on the road due to a pothole and was run over by a speeding vehicle. He was on his way to Heggade Nagara.

His family alleged that the BBMP officials and the road contractor are responsible for the accident.

The police have filed a complaint against a local BBMP Assistant Executive Engineer, who is the first accused, and the Road Contractor, who is the second accused, following an investigation.
