Bengaluru: The Department of Technical Education has mandated that all students pursuing polytechnic courses must be administered an assessment.
The 100-minute test will be conducted in their final year and will include a psychometric test, verbal aptitude, logical reasoning, computer fundamentals, and their core domain expertise.
The department has entered into an memorandum of understanding (MOU) with HireMee, a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of Vee Technologies. Once the test is conducted, the portal can then help bridge the gap between students and recruiters.
The students can also upload video statement of 20 seconds each to demonstrate their communication skills and share their technical strengths. Elaborating on the need for the test, H.U. Talwar, Director of Technical Education Department, said the aim was to bridge the gap between employability and skills.
