Bengaluru: After news of Cafe Coffee Day founder-chairman V G Siddhartha going missing spread, several high profile individuals including Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, former CM H D Kumaraswamy and Congress leader D K Shivakumar visited his father-in-law, former CM S M Krishna at his Bengaluru residence.
It can be recalled that Siddhartha went missing late on Monday night near the Netravati river. Police have launched a search operation for the business tycoon. Dog squads and boats have been pressed into action to locate the missing businessman.
As per a report by ANI, Congress leader B L Shankar also paid a visit to Krishna’s house on Tuesday morning.
BJP MLA Suresh Kumar and Congress MLA N A Harris are also reported to have arrived at S M Krishna’s residence.
A slew of well-wishers also gathered at S M Krishna’s residence after reports of Siddhartha’s disappearance made headlines.
Meanwhile, BJP leader and Member of Parliament Shobha Karandlaje requested Home Minister Amit Shah for the central government’s help to trace the missing business tycoon. Taking to Twitter, she wrote: “Requested Hon HM Sri @AmitShah Ji for central govt’s help to trace VG Siddhartha, who found to be missing since yesterday. A gentleman, who popularised Coffee across the world, known for his business acumen (SIC).”

The MP also wrote to Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh seeking the central government’s help in tracing the missing business tycoon.
