Police nab street fish vendor, solve multiple robbery cases

Bengaluru: Byatarayanapura police nabbed a history-sheeter and solved multiple cases of house robbery and chain snatching cases committed in different police station limits of the city. Police recovered 1 kg gold jewellery, 500 grams worth silver articles and few mobile phones, all valued at Rs 30 lakh from the accused.

Irfan Pasha, aged 26, street fish vendor in K R Market area and a resident of Bilwara in Bannerghatta limits was nabbed by the police.

The accused Irfan Pasha, an habitual offender had served jail term earlier in several cases of house robbery and chain snatching committed in Ramamuthynagar, Kengeri, K G Nagar and Bommanahalli limits.

The police managed to solve 17 cases in total committed by the accused in various police station limits in the city including Bytarayanapura , Rajarajeshwarinagar, Chandra lay-out, JJ Nagar and Chamarajapet . The cases are related to robbery, chain snatching extortion with 13 case reported in Byatarayanapura police station limit alone.

Kengeri gate ACP V J Sajith guided by Western Range DCP Anucheth assisted Byatarayanapura police team in nabbing the accused.
