Devanahalli: A police constable is accused of a shocking crime – the alleged murder of his wife in Kolathur village, Hosakote taluk. Kishore and Pratibha, both police constables in Chamarajanagar, tied the knot just a year ago. The suspect, Kishore, had developed suspicions about his wife, which are believed to have played a role in the tragic incident.
Despite being married for only a year, the couple had frequent disputes, prompting repeated interventions from their family members. Tragically, 11 days ago, Pratibha gave birth to a baby boy, and had been to her parents house.
The man arrived at his father-in-law’s house under the guise of visiting the child. In a shocking turn of events, he allegedly suffocated his wife to death while she was alone in the house. Subsequently, he attempted to stage the scene as a suicide by hanging her from a ceiling fan using a saree. Kishore fled the scene when Pratibha’s parents returned.
Following the murder, the accused, Kishore, made his way to Kolar and reportedly consumed poison in a suicide attempt. He is currently receiving medical treatment in the ICU of a private hospital in Kolar. A case pertaining to this incident has been registered at the Hoskote police station.
