Bengaluru: The Jeevan Bhima Nagar police have arrested four men for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman techie, and assaulting her colleague when he objected to their behaviour. The incident took place on Old Airport Road on April 13.

The police have identified the accused as Ajay Srinivas, 26, Mahesh Gopal, 26, Santosh Gowda, 24, and Naveen Seetharam, 26, worked as drivers and did odd jobs.

According to police, it was Mahesh’s birthday and his friends, including the prime accused Ajay, had partied at a bar.

They were standing outside the bar after lunch when two women and a man passed them.

Ajay allegedly passed a lewd comment and groped the woman, a software engineer, who slapped him. Her male colleague objected to their behaviour and tried to resist when he was allegedly attacked and assaulted by the men who fled the spot.
