Bengaluru: Novelist-writer S L Bhyrappa termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi a saint saying, “Attempts are being made to dethrone the Prime Minister. This is nothing but dirty politics.”

Speaking to the reporters in Mysuru, he stated that the NRC is required to save the country from the immigrants. “Today, immigrants are spread across the country. There is a need for an NRC to send all of them back,” he said.

He also opined that students should only read and write and not get involved with violence. “The JNU air has reached Mysuru University also. The universities are run using the taxpayers’ money. The students must keep this in mind and get involved more in academic activities instead of politics,” he said.

“JNU students are misguided. Modi took the brave decision of scrapping Article 370. Only Modi can do it,” he added.
