Bengaluru: Addressing a mammoth rally at the jam-packed National College Grounds in Basavanagudi in city, Modi said that he would not disappoint the people who voted him to power and chose the platform to rebut the criticism that his government was anti-farmer.
He reteirated his commitment for changing the destiny of India, he promised to usher in a four-colour revolution — Green for agriculture, White for dairy farming, Saffron for energy and Blue for tapping mineral resources for the all-round development of India.
“My first priority would be addressing the needs of farmers with new schemes like Soil Health Cards, expanding irrigation facility, providing quality seeds and technology to enhance agricultural productivity,” he declared.

The PM also promised big reforms in land records management for demarcation of lands, which in turn, would help optimum utilisation of available land and distribution of excess land.
Stating that his government was giving big boost to solar and wind energy to end the energy crisis in the country to drive the economy, he added that economy of coastal States will get a big push from the Blue revolution by tapping marine resources and developing water transport.
Listing out some of his projects like Jan Dhan and Make In India, the PM, in his 55-minute public address, explained that his Government believed in ‘Sab Ke Saath, Sab Ke Vikaas’ adding that his government was on course of fulfilling its promise on good governance, all-round development and eradicating corruption.
Explaining the spirit of his Sab Ke Saath, Sab Ke Vikaas, Modi said that the recent decision of his Government to enhance the State’s share from the pool of Central taxes as recommended by the 14th Finance Commission was proof of his commitment to walk the talk.
He also said that Karnataka received Rs. 24,800 crore as its share this year compared to Rs. 14,600 crore for the previous years. As India cannot be strong without financial empowerment of States, we will not discriminate between the States on political considerations, he declared.
Making an impassionate appeal to well-off people of Bengaluru, the PM urged them to voluntarily give up subsidised LPG and thus help him deliver the same to poor families which still depend on firewood in their kitchens.
The PM hosted a dinner for BJP leaders and many leaders from the State were seen urging the BJP National President Amit Shah to make former CM B.S. Yeddyurappa the State unit President.
