Pinarayi Vijayan extends Basava Jayanti greetings to K’taka with Vachanas

Bengaluru: Karnataka is celebrating Basava Jayanthi on Sunday and extending a warm greeting, Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan tweeted a few lines of Basavanna’s Vachanas in Kannada.

BasavaJayanti Greetings….Let the great Basavanna be our guide to transcend our differences. We will not win the battle against the pandemic by being divided. It takes all of us to win this, read the tweet from the Kerala CM.

He continued with two lines of Vachana:”?????? ?????? ??????????? ??????????. ?? ????? ?? ?????, ?? ?????????? ???????.”

Basavanna was an Indian 12th-century Statesman, philosopher, poet, Lingayat saint in the Shiva-focussed Bhakti movement, and social reformer during the reign of the Kalyani Chalukya/Kalachuri dynasty.
