Kanakapura: The parents of a teenage girl have been booked for forcing her to get married at Kodihalli in Kanakapura taluk recently.

Child marriage was held at Aragadakalu village in Kodihalli, Kanakapura on April 16. It is said that the parents of the girl had forced their daughter to get into wedlock. Hence, a complaint had been registered with the child helpline.

Based on the complaint, officials of the district child protection unit, Women and Child Welfare Department, and Kodihalli police verified the fact after visiting the village and booked the parents.
