Bengaluru: The police, on Saturday, February 22, interrogated the organizers of the anti-CAA protest that was held at the Freedom Park, attended by AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, in Bengaluru on February 20. This is being done in connection with a row that erupted after student activist Amulya Leona shouted “Pakistan Zindabad” at the protest.

As per reports, the Bengaluru (West) Police issued a notice to BBMP JD(S) member Imran Pasha on Saturday, February 22 to appear for questioning. Imran reportedly abided by the notice and appeared before the police for their investigation.

During the interrogation, the police reportedly asked Imran a series of questions like Was Amulya invited for the programme? Why did she make anti-national remarks during her speech in the programme? Which other organizations supported the programme? etc.

Imran told the police that Amulya was not invited for the programme and that she made her way to the stage with a VIP pass which was distributed to several people who had attended the anti-CAA programme.

It is also learnt that the organizers had taken the police’s permission to organize the protest
