In a joint press meet on Wednesday, opposition leader Jagadish Shettar and JDS state president HD Kumaraswamy said that both the parties have decided to go for an overnight strike in Assembly hall till their demands are met.

Both the parties are demanding that the Ganapathi suicide case should be handed over to CBI for inquiry and FIR should be registered against KJ George and the two police officers mentioned in Ganapathi’s death note.

Meanwhile, in after lunch break, CM proposed judicial inquiry into the case headed by a retired judge, which did not go down well with opposition parties.

DySP M K Ganapthi, in an interview to a news channel hours before his death blamed the trio, minister KJ George, Additional Director General of Police, Intelligence A.M. Prasad and Lokayukta (Ombudsman) inspector general of police Pronab Mohanty forseeing danger to his life.
