Bengaluru: According to population-based cancer registries in the State, every year 78381 new cases of cancers are being diagnosed, stated Health Department.

In total, 211630 cancer cases were reported in 202078 in the State. Among 78381, 34742 cases are reported in males and 43,639 cases in females.

In males, lung (10.1%) stomach (6.9%), and prostate (6.4%) are the prominent cancers that are prevalent, while it is breast (27.9%), cervix (12%), and ovary (6.4%) among females.
