Bengaluru: On May 5, the entire country showed solidarity with the hundreds of students who were not able to write the NEET-UG examination due to an abnormal delay in the Hampi Express, used by them to travel from various parts of North Karnataka to Bengaluru for the examination. Contrary to the estimates, however, so far, only 110 students have registered their names for the NEET UG re-examination which will be held on May 20.
Following an uproar on May 5, the National Testing Agency (NTA) decided to conduct the re-examination on May 20 and the last date to apply for the re-examination was fixed on May 10.
All the students were directed to apply for the re-examination by furnishing their Hampi Express train ticket.
According to sources, over 900 students had called the helpline set up by the NTA in this regard. But the number of students, who submitted an application with the train tickets, are just 110.
