Bengaluru: NIA authorities detained a person in the city for his alleged connection with the Islamic State (IS) operatives.

According to sources, the detained person was allegedly in touch with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant – Khorasan Province. This organization is blamed for hatching a conspiracy to create unrest in India at the time of anti-CAA-NRC protests.

He was also in touch with another group of IS terrorists.

According to the sources, the detained person was taken to an undisclosed place for questioning.
