Bengaluru: Ride-sharing company Ola Cabs has agreed to give 500 of its vehicles to the Government of Karnataka to be used in all coronavirus (COVID-19) related activities.
An announcement in this regard was made by Deputy Chief Minister Dr Ashwathnarayan C N on Monday, March 30.
Dr Ashwathnarayan, who is also the state minister for higher education, took to Twitter on Monday to thank Ola and its CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal for their contribution to the fight against COVID-19.
According to the DCM, the vehicles will be used by doctors for commute and by the government for other COVID-19 related activities.

Responding to Dr Ashwathnarayan’s tweet, Ola wrote, “Happy to be of any help that we can. Thanks to everyone at Ola that made it happen.”

It can be noted that there are 83 COVID-19 positive cases in Karnataka, as of last night.
