NR Ramesh accused of threatening BBMP joint commissioner

Bengaluru:  Former Yediyur corporator N R Ramesh, who was also the ruling BJP leader in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) council, has reportedly threatened the BBMP Joint Commissioner of Yelahanka zone Sarfaraz Khan, with bundling him and his father out to Pakistan if he did not stop Airtel from laying cable in Amruthahalli.Following the threat call, Khan lodged a complaint with the Yelahanka police and informed the BBMP Administrator T M Vijay Bhaskar and Commissioner G Kumar Naik.

Khan said he received a call at about 11 am where the caller identifying himself as N R Ramesh and warned him to stop Airtel from laying the Optical Fibre Cables (OFC).

“The caller asked me to find out who he was. He warned me to stop Airtel from laying OFC in Amruthahalli. If I (Khan) did not pay heed to him, he said he would banish me and father to Pakistan,” said Ramesh. Attempts to reach Ramesh went in vain.
