Bengaluru: The University of Mysore (UoM) will award PhD to a research scholar in its 102nd convocation on Tuesday March 22 for her PhD thesis on Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President D. K. Shivakumar.

Y. N. Ramaya, a research scholar from the Public Administration of the Department had presented her thesis on “Political Dynamism and Development Administration of Shri DK Shivakumar: An Analysis.”

Now the University has approved the thesis and recommended awarding PhD.

Politicians pursuing PhD is not new. But a PhD thesis on a controversial leader is new to the UoM.
