Bengaluru: Emerging from his Sadashivanagar residence after being grilled by the Income Tax officials for nearly three days Karnataka Energy minister D K Shivakumar stated, “Nobody can hide the truth. I never worked against the spirit of the law and Constitution… I am not embarrassing my party and at no point, will I let down my leaders.”
He however refused to divulge anything further on the raids saying that he would answer all the questions only after obtaining the ‘panchanama’ documents.
The raids which began at the minister’s residence on Wednesday concluded on Saturday morning. However it is gathered that the search operations are still ongoing at several other premises belonging to his associates, including his father-in-law Thimmaiah’s residence and factory in Mysuru.
The minister who initially plans to visit a temple will be later going to meet the Gujarat MLAs who are housed in the Eagleton resort.
