
Bengaluru: This year the annual Ganeshotsava Celebration which used to be organised publicly with pomp and devotion will be a low key affair in the state. The government released guidelines in this regard. As per the 10 guidelines issued by the government, only at temples and houses, the simple Ganeshotsava can be celebrated.
As per the government norms, installing Ganesha idols on the roadside, colonies, and other public places is prohibited. No idol shall be immersed in rivers or lakes.
No procession is allowed while bringing the idols in anywhere in the state.
This year Ganesha festival is celebrated on August 22 across the country. However, the COVID-19 has taken the glory and joy out of the celebrations.
