Bengaluru: Former CM HD Kumaraswamy, who is on a holiday at Malaysia slammed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for not allowing Congress strongman DK Shivakumar to celebrate the Gauri Ganesha festival with his family.
In a series of tweets, HDK slammed the ED for its alleged vindictive approach.
In his tweet, he stated that Gowri Ganesha is an important festival for Hindus. Mr. @DKShivakumar had asked for a day to observe the festival. However, ED officials denied him even this. If this is not a vindictive attitude, then what is?
It can be recalled that when HDK was the CM, DKShi helped him to come out of the political crisis several times by keeping a vigil on the party MLAs. He was instrumental in taking the party MLAs to resorts thrice to save the HDK led coalition government.
DKShi is under the ED scanner in an alleged money laundering case and is presently being questioned by the ED sleuths. Though the former minister of Karnataka had urged the ED to give him a break from probe on Monday so that he could celebrate Ganesh Chathurthi with his family, the ED declined.
