
Bengaluru: It seems anti-Sumalatha statement issued by PWD minister HD Revanna has created a sense of rift within the first family of the JDS party. On Saturday morning, none other than Nikhil Kumaraswamy, son of CM HD Kumaraswamy and MLA Anita couple made it clear that he doesn’t know why his uncle made such a statement.
Visibly upset, Nikhil Kumaraswamy hit out at his uncle and stated that his parents taught him good values in life.
“My parents have taught me to respect women. I don’t know in what context my uncle has issued such statements,” he stated.
Nikhil, third generation of the Deve Gowda family is all set to make his political debut from Mandya this Lok Sabha elections. He is all set to take on Rebel Star Ambareesh’s wife Sumalatha.
In this context, Nikhil’s uncle and brother of CM HD Kumaraswamy, HD Revanna, who is also the PWD Minister had said that Indian culture demands a widow to remain indoors for several months after death of her husband.
“Was all this necessary within one month of your husband’s death, ” Revanna had questioned Sumalatha with regard to her decision to contest polls from Mandya.
