Bengaluru: Night rain caused havoc in most parts of the city on Monday night and an eight-year-old girl was electrocuted in Kavalbairasandra area.

The rain started around 8 pm and continued past midnight.

At Kavalbairasandra, an eight-year-old girl named Fathima was electrocuted after she accidentally touched an electric pole when it was raining. She died on the spot.

Flood water entered into houses in low lying areas in Yalahanka, Dasarahalli, Peenya and surrounding areas of Bengaluru west region.

Hundreds of vehicles parked in the parking lots of apartments were damaged due to the rainwater.
