Bengaluru: A newly married inter-caste couple committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train in the Veerapura village of the Doddaballapura taluk in Bengaluru Rural.

According to the police, Leelavathi and Vijayakumar are both residents of the Shantinagar are of Doddaballapura town.

In a suicide note left in their bag, the newlyweds accused their in laws of torture. They stated that they married one month ago and were not able to lead a happy life after that.

The railway police have registered a case in this regard and the bodies have been handed over to the parents.
