Bengaluru: A new political party – Bharatiya Prajagala Kalyana Paksha – is set to be launched in Bengaluru on November 5.

“All political parties that ruled state and country have not done anything for the betterment of people. They miserably failed to meet the aspirations of the people in the country. The objective of Bharatiya Prajagala Kalyana Paksha will be to help the neglected and downtrodden sections,’’ said Bharatiya Prajagala Kalyana Paksha national president S. Kulkarni.

Speaking with media persons, national general secretary C. Niranjan C Jain said the Bharatiya Prajagala Kalyana Paksha is a national party and it has been registered with the Election Commission of India.

“Our country remains backward despite becoming independent 72 years ago. Politicians have not focused on the development of our country. Our party’s objective is to ensure overall development of the downtrodden and other neglected sections in society,’’ Jain said.

According to Balasubramaniam, treasurer of the party, all political parties have been assuring to solve the people’s problems during the elections but forget as soon as the elections are held.

“The people have to wait five years to hear from the politicians about their assurances given during the elections. Our party wants to be an alternative to these political parties,’’ Balasubramaniam said.

The Bharatiya Prajagala Kalyana Paksha is expected to be launched at Sri Jangama Kshethra Prarthana Mandira, Charamarajpet in Bengaluru on November 5.

Kolada mutt chief Shanthaveera Mahaswami, Bheemappa Gadad, film lyricist C.V. Shivashankar, Pramod Muthalik, Chandrasekhar Swamiji of Vishwa Vokkaligara Samsthan are expected to attend the function.
