NDTV Managing Editor Raveesh Kumar to get first Gauri Lankesh award

Bengaluru: Raveesh Kumar, the Managing Editor of NDTV Hindi has been selected for the first Gauri Lankesh award. The award will be conferred on September 22 in Bengaluru.

The award has been given by the Gauri Memorial Trust and comes with a citation and Rs 1 lakh in cash.

Announcing the winner of the award, freedom fighter H S Doreswamy said that the award will be given to journalists ever year. “Those who raise their voices for the truth will be honoured ever year,” he said.

The award selection committee was comprised of senior journalists and activists.
