Bengaluru: A Goa-based alleged drug dealer was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday on charges of supplying drugs to tourists and residents of the city.

It is learned that the accused, F Ahmed, works as a driver with a popular resort in Goa. According to the NCB, Ahmed’s customers were linked to various personalities in the Sandalwood industry.

Ahmed was arrested during a multi-location raid after an international drug peddling racket was discovered.

The arrest comes amid allegations of rampant drug and substance abuse in the Kannada film industry after the NCB had busted a synthetic drug racket on August 21.
