Bengaluru: With a list of demands including revision of payment, the Namma Metro staff have decided to start an indefinite strike against the corporation from Monday (tomorrow) onwards.
According to the sources, around 900 employees have decided to boycott work on Monday and participate in the strike. Meanwhile, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) officials have decided to execute the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) against the strike.
However, the staff has protested against the implementation of ESMA and also filed a petition in the High Court, and the Court judgment may come before tomorrow noon. It is understood that the employees would start their struggle after the judgment.
The staff has informed that they would continue the indefinite strike until their demands are fulfilled.
