Nalapad’s misery continues, even HC defers bail plea hearing to March 9

Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court (HC) deferred Mohammed Nalapad Haris’s bail plea hearing to Friday, March 7.

Nalapad, the prime accused in the pub brawl moved HC on March 5, challenging the rejection of his bail by the 63rd Sessions Court.

Judge Srinivas Harish Kumar of the High Court postponed the matter to March 7, giving ample time to Special Public Prosecutor to file objections before the next hearing.

Mohammed, Son of MLA Harris and his six friends were arrested after they brutally assaulted 24-year-old Vidwath, son of a businessman, in an uptown cafe in the city on February 17.

Earlier in the day, the 1st ACMM Court extended the judicial custody till March 21.
