Bengaluru: Several prominent leaders of the Muslim community from the city visited the house of Akhanda Shrinivasa Murthy, Congress MLA from Pulakeshinagar, which was gutted during the riots two days ago. They assured the MLA that they are ready to help him construct a new house.

It can be recalled that a mob had torched the MLA’s house during the riots that erupted on Wednesday night after his nephew posted a derogatory comment on their religion.

Chamarajpet MLA BA Zameer Ahmed Khan was also present during the visit of the moulvis and scholars. They offered a prayer in front of the damaged house and sympathised with the MLA.
