Bangalore: A Mulbagal, MLA G. Manjunath has received a death threats through a letter by a registered post. Consequently on receipt of the said letter, Manjunath sought a police protection from the Kolar SP as well as speaker Kadodu Thimmapppa.

“However, this is not the first time that I have received such death threats,” he confirmed.

According to Manjunath, the letter was written on the letter head of the Dalit Rakshana Samithi, which had the signature of the M. N. Narayanswamy, distict president of the following organisation.

He further cited: “The letter asked him to step down from his post within a week or else he would be killed.”

Moreover, Narayanswamy denied the allegation of his signature on the letter head, as he has nothing to do with the letter, also he stated it as a false allegation on him.
