Mudslide at construction site kills three

Bengaluru: In a gruesome incident, three building construction workers died on the spot after a mud-slide while working at a building construction site on Saturday, July 9.

The deceased are identified as Shivlinga, Ishran and Rukhani Chand. They were reportedly digging for the foundation of the building to be constructed, when the incident took place in the evening.

According to police, the incident took place around 7.30 pm at 80 feet road near Sapna book house, Koramangala. Shivlinga is a localite, while Ishran and Rukhani Chand are from West Bengal, police said.

There were four persons working on the spot. Once incident occurred, the fellow workers and passersby managed to drag out and save Alam, a co-worker, but the rest were unfortunate. Later, the fire and emergency services’ personnel managed to exhume the three deceased workers after three long hours of unearthing exercise.

Police have registered a case against the owner of the plot, Jubed who is absconded.
