Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district has reported two new COVID-19 cases on Monday with a mother-son duo from Shakthinagr testing positive.

They were kept quarantined in First Neuro Hospital after the death of a 65-year-old lady from Bantwal recently, who too was admitted at the same hospital.

With the mother-son duo testing positive, the area around their residence in Shakthinagar has been sealed down, said sources.

The district has recorded 21 positive cases and two deaths so far.
