The agitators who took out a protest march from the Jayachamarajendra Circle upto the DC office, shouted slogans against the  state government and the Police Department.

They said the sexual harassment of the minor girl residing in the Garibi Site  of Somanahalli in Maddoor Taluk   has made the  civilised society hang its head in shame;

They complained that neither the District in-charge Minister nor the Women and Child Welfare Minister Umashree has  so far visited the place to console the aggrieved family of the 14 year old girl even a week after the incident.
