Bengaluru: A 17-year-old girl from Kempapura, near Hebbal in Bengaluru, allegedly attempted to commit suicide on Nandi Hills, near Chikballapur on Tuesday.

According to the police, passersby, who noticed her lying unconscious behind a bush, admitted her to the district hospital in Chickballapur. The girl is said to be a I PU student of a private college in Bengaluru.

The police have registered a case and are investigating.

Man jumps to death

A 31-year-old man undergoing treatment in Bowring Hospital jumped to death from seventh floor of the hospital building on Tuesday.

The deceased, Rukmini Kant, was from Kunigal. It was said that he was undergoing treatment for tuberculosis.
