Bengaluru: Karnataka is all set to witness yet another extravagant wedding ceremony soon.
Said to have been cost about Rs 300 cr, Mining baron and former minister Gali Janardhan Reddy’s daughter Brahmani’s wedding ceremony held in 2016 was one of the most extravagant weddings that the state had ever seen.
Now, Reddy’s close aide R Sriramulu, who is also the Minister in the BSY cabinet is all set to get his daughter married off in an even more grander wedding that is estimated to have been planned at whopping Rs 500 cr.
The nine-day ‘royal’ wedding ceremonies kicked off on February 27 and the main ceremony will be held on March 5 at Palace Grounds.
Sriramulu’s aughter Rakshitha is getting married to Hyderabad based Industrialist Ravi Kumar.
As per sources, over one lakh people, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa have been invited for the wedding.
Sriramulu, who is the Minister for Health and Family Welfare may have had put in some thought in to it as the wedding invitation has been designed with a health-related theme. The lavish wedding invitation has Kesar, cardamom, vermilion and turmeric powder in it.
This apart, the wedding venue is going to bring to life the bygone era. If sources are to be believed then, multiple sets will be built at the main venue and one of the sets will recreate the Hampi’s Virupaksha Temple.
Reports also state that the bride will be dressed in sandalwood designer Saniya Sardhariya outfits. Make-up will be done by the same team that worked with actress Deepika Padukone during her wedding.
