Minister Ramanath Rai hospitalised

Bengaluru: Minister for Forest and Ecology B Ramanath Rai was hospitalised in Bengaluru on Thursday after he complained of pain in the chest while exercising.

He has been admitted to MS Ramaiah Hospital. A team of cardiologists who examined Rai at the hospital said that he would be discharged on Friday.

A senior specialist at the hospital said that Rai had been treated for a slight variation in ECG and that his condition was stable. He further mentioned that Rai is a known patient of hypertension and may have experienced pain in the chest due to over exertion during exercise
