Bengaluru: Mining baron, former minister Gali Janardhana Reddy tested positive for Covid-19. Former MLA of Rajarajeshwari Nagar, film producer Munirathna also tested positive.

In a statement, Janardhana Reddy stated that he is asymptomatic.

“Being tested positive with COVID-19 this evening, I will not be able to attend my dear friend B. Sriramulu’s mother’s funeral which is to be held on 30th of August in Ballari. I have got myself admitted to a private hospital. Doctors in the hospital have been treating me well. Despite not having any symptoms, I have been tested positive. I hope by your blessings, I will recover soon,” he told media.

Muniratna used social media to inform about his Covid 19 test results. “My sincere request to residents of Rajarajeshwarinagar assembly constituency. Today tested positive for Covid-19, hopefully, will come back safely & continue to serve you, incase otherwise my humble apologies,” he posted.
