Mekedatu project: Siddaramaiah to hold meeting with Modi on April 30

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated an exhibition  – Frozen Memories 2015 –organized by the Photojournalists Association of Bangalore on Monday April 27. The three-day annual event showcases 170 photographs taken by more than 100 photojournalists in Bengaluru.

Addressing the gathering at Chitrakala Parishat, the CM said that an all-party delegation from the state will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday April 30 to discuss the Mekedatu project.

When asked about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam’s letter to Prime Minister urging the latter to take initiatives to stop construction of the dam at Mekedatu, Siddaramaiah said the delegation will take up the matter with the Prime Minister.

Home Minister K J George, Minister for Public Works Department H C Mahadevappa, Information Minister Roshan Baig and actor Jennifer Kotwal were the special guests on the occasion.
