Bengaluru: Medical education minister Dr. K Sudhakar carried out night rounds in government hospitals across the city on Friday night.

He visited KC General hospital, Malleshwaram, Victoria hospital, and other COVID 19 hospitals. He also visited a few private hospitals to check the reality.

At KC General hospital, authorities informed him that just six beds are available with a ventilator. They also informed him that there is a shortage of staff in the hospital.

Sudhakar assured that he will try to resolve all these problems at the earliest.

His visit comes amid reports that private hospitals are denying admissions to Covid19 patients and government hospitals are not well equipped to handle the pressure. On Friday evening a senior citizen had committed suicide in the KC General hospital in Malleshwaram.
