Bangalore: The Eighth Edition of the country’s only Midnight Marathon titled “SBI Bengaluru Midnight Marathon 2014” will be held on December 20, 2014, onwards under the patronage of its organisers, the Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor (RBITC).

A press conference was held to announce the same on Wednesday October 15 at the Bangalore Marriott Hotel, Whitefield amidst media, the RBITC team and the partners and sponsors associated with the Marathon. The theme for this year’s SBI Bengaluru Midnight Marathon 2014, “Run on Swachh Bengaluru,” was unveiled by none other than the country’s boxing Icon and the Asian Games 2014 Gold Medalist Mary Kom during the Press Conference.

Unveiling the theme of “Run on Swachh Bengaluru,” at the press conference, Mary Kom shared, “I am pleased to be a part of this unique race which has so many wonderful elements – the spirit of running, good health, feeling of brotherhood and most of all, helping to raise money for the humanitarian projects that Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor runs. I wish them the very best and hope to see it as one of the most acclaimed marathons in the world soon.”
