Bengaluru: In a case of hit-and-run, a 60-year-old man died after being knocked down by a speeding biker on Banaswadi Main Road on Thursday night.
The deceased has been identified as Joy, a retired private firm employee and resident of Chikkabanasawadi. Police said the incident took place around 9.30 pm when Joy was on his way home from a grocery store. While he was crossing the road near the Ganesha temple, an speeding Pulsar bike hit him. The biker rode on without stopping.
Joy was taken to a hospital, but he was declared brought dead. CCTV footage has given Banaswadi traffic police details of the bike.
In an another incident, traffic was thrown out of gear and people panicked after a man threatened a BMTC bus driver with a gun on Thippasandra Main Road on Friday. Jeevan Bima Nagar police have arrested two persons in this regard.
